Mike King was Reader at London Metropolitan University, now retired and working as an independent multi-disciplinary scholar. He has four degrees from British universities spanning the disciplines of arts, science and religion and has published over sixty papers, book chapters, film and book reviews, and five books at the intersection of these fields as well as two novels. He has exhibited his digital artworks nationally and internationally. He is a Quaker, grows vegetables and likes to walk in fields, mountains, woodland and riverbanks. He has written books on Secularism and Post Secularism.  His most recent non-fiction books are “Luminous: The Spiritual Life on Film” and “Quakernomics: An Ethical Capitalism.”  He has also published a novel, “Enigma’s Coda,” about a mathematician who has a breakdown in which he imagines he was Alan Turing in a former life.
